Wednesday Proposals for sealing ten miles of roads in the Maketu Hiding of the fauranga County were explained to a meeting of ratepayer? at To Puke last night The chairman, Mr. S. 11. MacDougall, commended tho proposals to tho ratepayers and said that if the loan for £4OOO were sanctioned, it w6uld carry a Subsidy of £12,000 from the Main Highways Board. A resolution was carried complimenting the council for its action in submitting the proposal to the ratepayers and expressing the hope that the latter would sanction'the raising of the loan.
