MARRIED IN ROME
SPANISH INFANTA IMPOSING CEREMONY ROME. Jan. 14 More than 4000 members of the Spanish nobility attended the wedding in Rome to-day of the Infanta Beatrice, daughter of ex-King Alfonso of Spain, to the Italian Prince, Alcssandro di Civitella Cesi. The bride was given away by her father, and after the imposing ceremony the couple were received in audience at the Vatican by the Pope. The Prince and Princess are to spend their honeymoon in the United States. MOTHER NOT PRESENT REMAINS IN LONDON EXPLANATION REFUSED LONDON. Jan. 14 Ex-Queen Ena of Spain did not go to Rome for the wedding of her daughter. She remained in London. Her secretary, in reply to an interviewer, said: "I cannot give the reason why the ex-Queen did not go to Pome." An official statement was subsequent!*- issued stating: " Ex-Queen Ena does not wish to make any communication to the press about her private affairs." The Paris newspaper Le Soir, states that ex-King Alfonso did everything possible to secure his wife's attendance at the wedding. Her absence was an outward sign that the disunion between the ex-King and Queen has now become final.
