LAMB STOLEN
OFFENCE BY MOTORISTS THREE MEN AWAIT SENTENCE [BT TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Tuesday A telephone message was received at the "Wellington detective office at 9 o'clock last night that some men who were motoring w ere seen to take a lamb from the top of the Paekakariki Hill. An investigation resulted in three arrests being made. The three men— Robert Edward Coblie, 32, painter; Charles Hill, 33, labourer; Hector Lillymail Hail wood, 28, painter —to-day pleaded guilty to stealing a lamb, valued at £l, the property of some person unknown, and were remanded lor sentence until Friday. It was stated that the carcase of the lamb was recovered, but the inquiries have not been completed.
