INDICATION IN BRITAIN NEW COMPANIES REGISTERED (Received January 15. 12.25 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 14 A striking indication of economic recovery in Britain is contained in the statistics of new companies registered in 1934 at Somerset House. These totalled 12,475, being an increase of 10 per cent., which represents a record since the first Companies Act of 1844. The capital involved was £143,000,000, an increase of 50 per cent over 1933.
