CROWING OF A COCK

nuisance to a neighbour INJUNCTION AGAINST OWNER The crowing of a cock recently cost Mr?. Shorter, widow of Mr. Clement Shorter, author and critic, £24. Mr. Eric Beach sued Mrs. Shorter at the County Court at Chesham, Buckinghamshire, and was granted an injunction restraining the defendant from keeping cockerels between J tine and October within 150 yards of his residence. Mr. Beach complained that the cock kept him awake at night and forced him to sleep, with closed windows, covered with blankets, with wool in his ears, and wearing patent earpads. His health suffered, and he had to seek other accommodation.
