„ PRIEST'S SILVER JUBILEE GATHERING IN SAMOA The silver jubilee of the Rev. Father Meyer, who has completed 25 years' work as a Roman Catiholic missionary in Samoa, was celebrated at a largely attended gathering at Apia recently. The guests of honour included the Administrator (Mr. Hart) and Mrs. Hart. Father Meyer was supported by Bishop Darnaud. After the reception at the Presbytery over 700 guests were entertained at a banquet at the Catholic Club, where a huge birthday cake was cut by j Father Meyer and distributed. An illu« | minated address and cheque were pre- | sented to Father Meyer by Mr J. | Curry, president of the Catholic Club, I on behalf of the European parishioners.
