THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL
PRESENTATION IN MARCH TRIBUTE TO LADY BLEDIsfi)E Arrangements are being made for the farewell which the citizens of Auckland are to give to the GovernorGeneral, Lord Bledisloe, and Lady Bledisloe on the eve of their departure from Auckland in March. In addition to the presentation which is to be made to Lord Bledisloe it is proposed to tender a farewell function to Lady Bledisloe by the women of the city and province.

A casket to contain the address is now being made in Auckland and is in the form of a Maori pataka. • The Mayoress, Mrs. G. W. Hutchison, is convening a meeting of representative ladies and officers of women's organisations to arrange the farewell function to Lady Bledisloe, at which a memento of her sojourn in New Zealand will be presented to her.
