SHEARING EXPEDITION
TRIP TO CAMPBELL ISLANDS AN AGREEMENT TO BE MADE [BY TELEGRAPH —-PRESS ASSOCIATION] CHRISTCHURCH. Saturday The expedition to the Campbell Islands to shear sheep which were left there three years ago, when the holding was evacuated under instructions from the mortgagees, will probably be proceeded with. A message from Dunedin 011 Thursday announced that the mortgagees had given 110 authority to anyone to interfere with the stock, but Mr. H. Brown, Cheviot organiser of the expedition, has received ii message from Wright, Stephenson and Company, Limited, who arc acting for the mortgagees, stating that it will be necessary for Mr. Brown to. arrange an agreement in Dunedin before leaving. It is not yet known when the expedition will leave. A boat suitable for the voyage has been launched and trial runs with the engine have proved satisfactory.
