RACING SCANDAL
MALPRACTICES IN INDIA OFFENDERS WARNED OFF ' (Received December 21, 6.35 p.m.) CALCUTTA. Dec. 21 The Calcutta Turf Club has taken dx-astic action as the result of an inquiry into malpractices at the Secunderabad races. Several events were alleged to have been "arranged" by a trainer in collusion with jockeys. The club has warned off all courses in India a leading Bombay trainer, Byramjee Rustomjee, also seven jockeys, namely, the brothers J. and W. McCarthy, Evans and Alford, Australians; T. Hill and A. Clarke, Englishmen; and Obaid, a crack Arab rider.
