AMERICA TO JAPAN departmental approval (Received December 12, 5.5 p.m.) WASHINGTON. Dec. 11 Secret from the files of the Dupont Corporation were placed as evidence before the Senate Arms Committee at its munitions inquiry to-day. It was revealed that sinco 1923 the company had been selling to the Japanese explosive-making machinery and military equipment on the expressed approval of the War and Navy Departments. According to the evidence of high military officers, it was held that the supply of such materials was valuable to American defence plans, as it had kept America informed what Japan waß doing along military lines.
