SYDNEY'S FIRE LADDER
LENGTH OF 100 FEET LONDON, Nov. 32 The turntable fire-escape equipment which is being obtained by the Sydney fire brigade, is identical with 17 now being used in London. It will be shipped in the Orestes on November 80. It is all steel and weighs' 8i tons- Its ladder, 100 ft. long, will carry several men without support.
