WAITEMATA CLUB CARNIVAL The Waitemata Amateur Swimming and Life-Savin? Club will conduct the first carnival of any importance this season at the Tepid Baths next Tuesday evening. The chief event will be the 200 yds relay ruce for the Foss Memorial Cup, at present held by Waitemata. Among its opponents will be teams representing the Noith Shore, Ponsonby and Grammar Clubs, so that the race is expected to be excitingly contested. 'L'ho supporting handicap events include 00 2-3 yds and 220 yds open handicaps, as well as a GO 2-3 yds ladies' handicap, and in these Auckland's speediest swimmers will be competing. The water polo match will be between Ponsonby and Parnoil, the first game thip season in the Auckland Water Polo Control Board's senior Br ad#.
