PAST PUPILS MEET
CLEVELAND HOUSE SCHOOL Memories of many happy and carefree days were recalled at the annual dinner of the Cleveland House Old Girls' Association, which was held last evening at the Hotel Cargen. Over 70 members were present, including three generations of past pupils, and were received in the lounge by Mrs. Phillips, Miss T. Clerk and Miss C. Burt. Miss E. Matthews presided at the gathering and welcomed the Misses Moore-Jones, the former joint principals of the school, who* were the guests of the association and presented them with bouquets of carnations and sweet peas. Tho honorary secretary, Miss Anita Webster, gave a short address on the year's work of bringing members of the association together. Next year, she said, the association planned to hold a week-end of events among which will be a play to be produced and performed by members. After dinner, items by Miss Stacpoole, Miss Rose Kennedy and Miss Matthews were enjoyed, and* before the gathering dispersed votes of thanks to the hon. secretary and committee for a most enjoyable evening were passed.
