THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL
appreciation of services Appreciation of the work of the Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, is expressed in the following resolution passed by the Auckland district synod of the Methodist Church:—"That this synod views with genuine regret the ' near departure from the Dominion of .■ His Excellency the Governor-General, "i Bledisloe. He has been an indefatigibie exponent of all that tends to the moral and spiritual welfare of the people of New Zealand. He has ever expounded and exemplified the Christian ideal, and will leave an indelible impression for good upon the Dominion. All to whom the highest things are precious owe to him a debt of gratitude for manv noble ntter- ' ances. Tc him and Lady Bledisloe this synod expresses the most sincere good wishes."
