REPLY TO YUGOSLAVIA

RECENT ASSASSINATIONS NO HUNGARIAN COMPLICITY BUDAPEST, Nov. 23 M. Julius Gombos, Prime Minister of Hungary, vigorously replying to the Yugoslav Note accusing Hungary of complicity in the assassination of King Alexander and M. Barthou at Marseilles, declares that it is merely a continuation of the anti-Hungarian press campaign directed by an intention to discredit and intimidate Hungary and paralyse her efforts to maintain her own existence. In a thousand years, he says, Hungary has not known murder as a weapon. She would welcome every investigation, particularly as the military strength of Yugoslavia and her friends endangers European relations.
