THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE FAIR 7 ' VOLUME OF BUSINESS A fair volume of business was transacted at. ( the single call on the A.i'-k----land Stock Exchange on Saturday. The principal feature was a further fall in Bank of Australasias and Bank of New Zealands. No business was recorded in Government loans, levels for which, ro- . mained fairly steady. In bariks Australasias, after dropping 6s 6d on Friday, receded a further 5s on sale at £ll, while Now Zealands also continued their downward trend, losing 9d in three transactions at 48s J3d. The D mortgage issue was done unchanged at 3d. Support was a (shade (inner for Reserve Banks, which were sought 3d higher at £0 lis, and Commercials, offers for which were Id better a,t< 15s Bd. Little activity was shown in the insurance market, the only sale being .in New Zealands, which were 9d weaker at 6Ss 6d. A parcel of the contributing issuo of Traders'/Finance changed hands unaltered at 3s, while Claude Neons (New Zealand) were taken at 525. Inquiry for industrial shares generally was steady, with little change in levels.
