LEAGUE OF MOTHERS
Newton East.—At the final meeting of the year of the Newton East branch an address was given by Sister Grace. Assisting with the entertainment programme were Mrs. Penman, with two solos, Mrs. Whitworth, with recitations, and Mesdames Ohms (president) and Penman with duets. Christmas gifts were distributed to each member by the president, and bouquets presented to the speaker, Sister Grace, and Mrs. Ohms by the branch. Afternoon tea was Srovided by the members of Remuera To. 1 branch.
Epsom.—The last meeting for this year was held on Thursday afternoon. The president, Mrs. Tuck, presided over a large attendance including members of the Mount Eden branch, also members of the Mothers' Union. Mrs. Allan Mulgan gave a helpful address, and the thought for the month was given by Mrs. Elliffe. Two recitations by Mrs. Swallow and two solos by Mrs. Otter were enjoyed. The tea hostesses were Mesdames Goodfellow, Jackson, Laird and H. Jones.
