TAXI FARE "WAR"
WHANGAREI DEVELOPMENT [from our owx correspondent] WHANGAREI, Monday The principal taxi firms in Whangarei have been engaged in a price war during the past two weeks and the public has benefited accordingly. The outcome was a meeting this morning of all taxiowners in Whangarei, when a motion was carried that the Whangarei Borough Council be asked to fix the taxi fares and limit the number of cars to operate within the borough.
