ST. JOHN AMBULANCE
INSPECTION AT WAIHI [bx telegraph—OWN correspondent] WAIHI, Monday The Waihi St. John Ambulance Brigade, under the command of Superintendent T. G. Williams, was inspected on Sunday by Mr. H. D. Cobb, officer in charge of the South Auckland area. Mr. Cobb was welcomed by the Mayor, Mr. W. M. Wallnutt, and Mr. H. W. Hopkins, superintendent of the Waihi mine. The Mayor made particular reference to the splendid serviced rendered by the brigade on the occasion of tho cage accident at the Waihi mine last year.
Mr. Cobb said that during 1933 no fewer than 57,276 cases li.ad_ received attention from members of New Zealand brigades while on and off duty. Ho paid a tribute to the work of the late Air. W. liattray, who was a foundation member of the Auckland division.
