TASMAN FLIGHTS
A REGULAR SERVICE MR. SWAN'S PREDICTION (Received November 18, 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, Nov. 18 The secretary of the Auckland Aero Club, Mr. L. Swan, arrived in Sydney by the Maunganui. He predicted that there would be a regular air service across the Tasman in the near future. The essential requirement, apart from suitable aeroplanes, was a perfect system of directional radio. TRIP DELAYED WHITEHEAD AND NICHOLL GALE RAGING AT SEA (Received November 18, 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY. Nov. 18 The New Zealand airman Mr. R. Whitehead and his companion, Mr. R. Nicholl, are not likely to leave on their flight to the Dominion before Monday, owing to the fact that a gale is raging in the Tasman and the weathfjr along the coast of New South W ales is typical of mid-winter. There hare been violent rain squalls in the past 24 hours, and there is no sign of them abating. Mr. Whitehead has received a cablegram from his mother in New Zealand wishing , him luck. Many similar messages have been received from the Dominion,
