THE DAIRY INDUSTRY
Sir, —The report of the Dairy Commission is causing intense interest throughout the Dominion. It seems to mo that there tiro u number of factions who arc opposed to tho Government putting into effect proposals for the hptternn;nt of- tho industry. Why not give tho Government nil the help we can and try to put our dairy produce on the overseas markets in the best possible condition, nt the least expensu to the producer. Wo have tried all sorts of control boards in the last 10 or ]2 years, with very doubtful results to the producer. We are told that our butter is not of tho same quality as it used to bo. If this is so, surely tho scientific men of Massey College can find out where the fault lies and steps bo taken to remedy tho trouble. Matakana. A. Mkdland
