MONEY IN TENNIS
VINES AS PROFESSIONAL STOEFFEN JOINS RANKS LONDON, Nov. 13 Ellsworth Vines, who is to play in a professional tournament on November 19, says he does not regret turning professional, in spite of the Wimbledon ban. He says: " I hope to retire with ease at 30 years of age. Tilden made £20,000 in two years by professionalism. I ,am well on my way to making that sum in my first year." A message from New York states that the Davis Cup player, L. R. Stoeffen, turned professional to-day. He is joining sports promoter O'Brien's touring troupe.
