FATAL FALL IN HOUSE
INQUEST AT TAURANGA [BY TELEGItAPH OWN CORRESPONDENT] TAURANGA, Wednesday An inquest concerning the denth of James Robert Tait, who died on Friday, was held this morning before Mr. A. P. Tunks, coroner. The evidenoe of Dr. W. Watt, and Superintendent Frederick Warner, transport officer of St. John Ambulance, who were summoned to deceased's homo at Mount Maunganui, indicated that deceased had slipped in the hall of his home and had struck a large glass china cabinet in falling. He was found unconscious with a large scalp wound in the back of his head lying near the shattered cabinet. Dr. J. Mark, medical superintendent of the Tauranga Hospital, said deceased was admitted on November 7 and died on November 9 without regaining consciousness. He suffered from shock and extreme loss of blood and showed signs of cerebral . hemorrhage and paralysis. The coroner returned a verdict that deceased died as a result of cerebral hemorrhage and shock, caused by a fall some time during the morning of November 7.
