Paton is a regular attendants at the Epsom tracks with his team, which con- ; sists of Worthy Chief, Grand Triumph, Awakanae, Direct Line and a three-year > old colt by Nelson Bingen from Rosie.Drift., The last-named has grown considerably lately and is furnishing into a fine type of trotter. Awakanae, a relative of All Bell and Nita 8011, is a big mare and is taking, time to develop her powers, but she ,is making satisfactory progress, while Direct Line is going along in the right way. Grand Triumph, who registered his first plaoed performance last month, looks to have derived a good deal of benefit from recent racing, and is steadily implying in solidness. J. Patoni who drives him -in bin work and. races, appears to understand his peculiarities and has good prospects of winning a race with him. Worthy Chief is doing everything asked of him - in* fashion, rind, as he is improving in stamina, he may bie' capable of winning when suit*' ably placed.
