ONEHUNGA ASSOCIATION A decision to apply for affiliation to the Aucklar.d Association was made at the last meeting of tlie Onehunga Cricket AssociaIn addition to the presentation of cricketing caps to the winners of the championship competition, an offer by the president, Mr. J. E. Green, to assist in securing a championship shield was accepted. The secretary, Mr. A. E. Insley, reported further additions to the number of registered players, and a committee was appointed to "arrange for suitable matches during the Christmas holidays. . ' Following 18 the »draw for the : fourth -series of matches to be played on Saturday:—Relief Club V. TePapapa Works. No. 4, Messrs. E. C. Bourdot and F. A. Skinner; Woollen Mills v. Onehunga. MANGONUI ASSOCIATION [by telegbaph-—own correspondent] KAITAIA, Wednesday Tha annual, meeting of the Mangonui County Cricket Association was held at Victoria Valley last night, Mr. E. Kelly presiding. The balance-sheet presented by the treasurer, Mr.-J. M. Dawson, showed a small credit balance. The following officers were elected: — Patron, Mr. L. J. Matthews;, president, Mr. H. H. Thompson: vice-presidents, Messrs. E. White, W. Treacher, P.' Tendell, A. Wright, P. Lambley and W. H. Farnmond; secretary and treasurer, Mr. J. M. Dawson; auditor, Mr. W. Thompson: selectors, Messrs. Kelly, W. A. S. Wratnall and F. Panther; delegate to the North Auckland Association, Mr. B. Dunn. . Three senior teams, Kaitaia, Victona Valley and Eastern Area,, were nominated for the county competition, and four junior teams, Kaitaia. Victoria Valley, Eastern Area and' Takahue. . The first round of the competition la to commence on Saturday, November 17. .It Was decided to play the first representative match at Kaitaia. ' ■ It was reported that a strong Auckland eleven would visit the North this year; and these matches should stimulate interest in cricket.
