PRESENTATION

Mr. E. A. McKinlav, who has been inspector of stock and officer in charge of the Agriculture Department at Whangarei for several years, was farewelled on Saturday by representatives of stock firms and others, prior to his departure for Hamilton. In making tho presentation of n case of pipes, Mr. T. .Mitchell, expressed regret at Mr. McKinlay's departure from Whangarei. He said the stock firms realised the difficulty in carrying out the regulations of the Department of Agriculture, but were thoroughly satisfied with tho efficient and conscientious way Mr. McKinlav had performed his duties. Other speakers endorsed the remarks of Mr. Mitchell. At another gathering the staff of tho Department of Agriculture in Whangarei presented Mr.* McKinlay with a leather suitcase.
