[BV TKr.EGRAI'H —PRESS ASSOCIATION] DUNEDIN. Saturday

An inquest was hold to-day concerning the death of William Hopkins David, aged 64, who was found hanged from -a tree on Thursday afternoon.

Evidence was given that deceased was very much attached to his wife, who had been ill for four years and who died on Thursday morning. The coroner, in returning a verdict of suicido while acutely depressed, said it was a distressing case. No doubt the death of deceased's wife had preyed on his mind.
