(Received October 24, 12.15 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 23 The progress of competitors in the Centenary air race, according to the latest advice, is indicated in the following summary, all times quoted being Greenwich mean time, unless otherwise stated:— Mr. C. W. A. Scott and Mr. T. Campbell Black.—Landed Darwin 9.8 p.m. Monday. Left Charleville 11 a.m. Tuesday. Landed Melbourne 3.34 p.m. All Eastern standard times. Messrs. K. D. Parmentier, J. J. Moll, Vanbrugge, Prins and three passengers.—Reached Darwin 8.30 a.m. Tuesday, and continued to Charleville, which they left at 8 p.m., local time. Colonel Roscoe Turner, Mr. C. Pangborn and Miss Ruth Nichols.—Reached Koepang 2.45 a.m. and left at 3.46 a.m. for Darwin, where they landed later, and left again at 6.11 p.m., local time. Lieutenant O. Cathcart-Jones and Mr. K. Waller.—Arrived at Singapore 2.14 a.m. Tuesday, and left at 3.20 a.m. They were delayed at Batavia by engine trouble. Squadron-Leader M. C. McGregor and Mr. H. C. Walker.— Reached Allahabad 7.51 a.m. Tuesday. Left for Calcutta 8.51 a.m., landing there 12.34 p.m. They left for Rangoon later. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Mollison.—Delayed at Allahabad by engine trouble. Messrs. D. L. Astes, G. J. Geysendorfer and Prone.—Repairing damaged machine at Allahabad. They hope to resume Thursday. Squadron-Leader J. D. Hewett, Flying-Officer C. E. Kay and Mr. F. Stewart.—Left Jask 5.30 a.m. Tuesday and reached Karachi at 9.35 a.m. Lieutenant M. Hansen and Mr. Jensen.—-Reached Bagdad on Monday and left at 9.44 a.m. Squadron-Leader D. E. Stodart and Mr. K. G. Stodart.— Arrived Bagdad Monday. Mr. C. J. Melrose.—Arrived Bagdad Monday. Messrs. J. H. Wright and J. Polando.—Arrived Nikosia, Cyprus, on Monday and continued to Aleppo. Mr. C. G. Davies.—Reached Nicosia, Cyprus, on Monday. Flying-Officer H. D. Gilman and Mr. J. K. C. Baines.—Crashed in Southern Italy on Monday. Both killed. Flight-Lieutenant G. Shaw.—-Arrived Athens Monday. Mr. H. L. Brook and Miss Lay.—Arrived Rome Monday.
