YIELDS OF COMPANIES Bell-Kilgour (Cromwell). —The treatment of 154 yards of wash yielded 19oz. 6dwt. Gillespie's Beach (South Westland). —Last week, 530z. for 137£ hours. Talisman Dubbo (Karangaliake).— 45 dry tons of ore were treated at the Golden Dawn battery for an actual realisation, on 85 per cent extraction, of £236 REPORTS OF MANAGERS Dawn of Hope (Thames). —Two men have been engaged stoping and timbering during the week and gold is seen in the ore broken out for the full length of the stope. A trial crushing of three loads has been sent to the battery for treatment. Two men have been engaged full time cleaning up the low level and are now within 100 ft. of the main riso. Golconda (Thames). —During the week very little work has been done on the reef in the footwaU as we had to alter the timbers to get around on the proper course. The quartz broken shows nice colours of gold and there are three ribs of quartz running further into the footwall, each showing colours of gold. We intend to drive on these ribs of quartz as I think the main portion of the reef is still in tho footwall country. Blackwater (Reefton) quarterly report to September 30. —No. 11 north level was extended 2305 ft., all on reef averaging 21in. wide and 9dwt. value. No. 12 level, north drive, was advanced 200 ft., all on reef averaging 20in. in width and 13.4dwt. in value. Rising during the period amounted to 12Gift., of which 93 J ft. exposed reef averaging 27in. in width and 14.2dwt. in value. Winzing totalled 123 ft., of which 85ft. exposed reef averaging 12.4dwt. in value and 22i}in. in width. Prohibition shaft: After being retimbered between 10 and 11 levels, the shaft was sunk a further 76£ ft., making the total depth 2121 ft. from the surface.
