COUNTRY STOCK SALES FRANKTON QUOTATIONS LITTLE CHANGE IN VALUES [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Tuesday The yarding of fat sheep at the Frankton salevards to-day was about the same as last week. Competition for fat wethers was not keen, and values receded. Fat ewes were in rather short supply, with the result that in this section values showed little alteration. Hoggets sold at late rates, while a heavy .entry of spring lambs sold at below the export schedule. There was a good entry of ox beef, including many pens of well-finished cattle, the market remaining unchanged for heavy cattle, while lighter cattle met with a fairly firm sale. Cow and heifer beef, of which much of the entry was second quality, sold at rates slightly in advance of those ruling at last sale. An exceptionally heavy yarding of fat pigs was penned, the market remaining •steady throughout, and values being on a par with those ruling at last sale. A heavy yarding of stores met with a steady demand at figures slightly lower than last week.
