MISFORTUNES IN JAPAN KOBE, Oct. 21 The failure of crops in the northern provinces of Japan, added to previous misfortunes long hushed up, are nowcreating a sensation. Acorns are regarded as a luxury • and innumerable children are suffering from malnutrition.
