■ VICE-CHANCELLOR IN PERIL armed men lie in wait VIENNA, Oct. ai An attempt on the life of the ViceChancellor, Prince Starhemberg, was frustrated by a policeman who at midnight Baw two armed men in a car waiting as the Vice-Chancellor was due to pass from a meeting of the headquarters of the Heimwehr. The armed men drove off when observed. The number of the car proved to be false.
