PRICES IN SYDNEY
FIRM AT RECENT RATES AVERAGE TO GOOD CLASSES (Received October 22. 0.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, Oct. 22 At the Sydney wool sales to-day 11,177 bales were oflered, and 9909 were sold, also 1490 privately. The market ruled firm at the closing rates of last week for all average to good fleece and skirtings, but was irregular for very faulty fleece and skirtings. Japanese, Yorkshire and Continental buyers tvere the chief operators. Greasy Merino made 15d for 11 bales from Warialda. The average price of wool at last week's auctions at Sydney was £l2 Gs 2d a bale, or 9.3d per lb.
