Scott and T. Bourn lost to Ackland Horman and Rymill, 5 and 3; L. Garnett and J. McLean defeated Winser and McLachlan, 4 and 2; Scott and Garnett and Winser and Ackland Horman, all square; Bourn and McLean lost to McLachlan and Rymill, 2 and 1. Playing at Brisbane, Gene Sarazen and J. H. Kirkwood defeated the local professionals, Gazzard and Denholm, 4 and 3. Sarazen improved the Royal Queensland Club's record by four strokes, completing the course in 64, which is nine under par. There were 10 "birdies" on his card.
