HISTORICAL OBJECTS
Sir,— Referring to the New Zealand Herald of October 11. it is to be regretted that tho Canterbury Old Colonists' Association did not secure for the Christchurch Museum the railway wheels used in the old days for the 4ft. 6in. gauge railway. As one who travelled on this old broad sauce line, I think it was a great mistake allowing' these wheels to be shipped as scrap iron, for Japan. G.
