* THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE SUGARS DROP £1 ON SALE Easier tendencies developed in most sections of the investment market at the single call on the Auckland Stock Exchange on Saturday. This was accounted for by tho nominal interest of buyers, and practically all sales made wore at reduced rates. Support for Government loans was generally unchanged, there being adjustments in a downward direction in offers for tho medium-term 4 per cent stocks. A parcel of 1946 4 per cent etock changed hands at £lO9 7s 6d, a drop of '2s 6d. Levels for banks showed further recessions. New Zenlnnds wore sought 6(1 lower at 48s, and a concession by holders accompanied a sale at 4Ss 6d, a fall of "2d. After a quiet period New South Wales wero done 7s 6d lower at £ ss. Inquiry for insurances was restricted, but there were few visible supplies. No sales were recorded. In the general sections Colonial Sugars were available 5s lower at £74. Dealing took place £1 lower at this price, reflecting tho weaker trend during tho past week. Farmers' Trading remained strongly supported, and business was dono unchanged at 7s. Consolidated Brick lost Id in a transfer at 10s lid. Tho Exchange will bo closed to-day. Labour Day.
