OLD PUPILS' REUNION
THAMES HIGH SCHOOL [from our own correspondent] THAMES, Sunday The Thames High School Old Pupils' Association held a successful reunion during the week-end. Old pupils of the school from all over the province from as far south as New Plymouth attended. The cold weather prevented the swimming contests from being held, but tennis, cricket and athletic events were started yesterday and will l>e continued to-morrow. A well-attended dance was held last evening in the school, the hostesses being Mrs. W. H. Hoult-, wife of the headmaster, and Mrs. O. S. Hetherington, wifo of the president of the association. A dance was held at Tapu this afternoon. Divine services held this evening in all the churches were well attended by old pupils. The annual meeting of the association will bo held to-morrow afternoon for the election of officers, while in the evening there will be a smoke concert for the old boys.
