HOME DECORATION

In the decorating of a papered room the ground colour of the paper should as a general principle be used in the woodwork surrounding the openings. If the wall be painted the same principle applies. Relief may be had in the doors themselves, and the wall colour should extend to the cornice of the ceiling and include such moulding. The colour of the f! oor should be repeated as some part of the wall. When the floor is carpeted these tones and colours should be reflected in the window drapes. By this means the room is " pulled together " and looks complete. Painted floors are coming into vogue again and where these are used consideration must be given to the window hangings, rugs, and carpets.
