CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT
C. BURKE WINS MEN'S SINGLES
The Auckland table tennis championship tournament was finalised at the Rivoli skating rink last evening, when a fairly good attendance of enthusiasts was treated to some splendid play. Especially in the semi-finals and finals of of the various competitions the spectators witnessed some well-contested games. The men's A grade title was won by C. Burke, who defeated F. Paton in the final. In the men's B grade event J. Bunting was successful, while the men's doubles went to F. Paton and R. Stallworthy. Miss McAdam proved the winner of the ladies' singles, and the ladies' doubles championship honours were secured by Misses McAdam and Carter. The winners of the combined doubles were R. Stallworthy and Miss Tanfield. Following were the results:— MEN'S A GRADE SINGLES Quarter-finals.—Paton beat A.
