* ESTIMATE OF SOWING 240.000 TO 250,000 ACRES [BT TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATtO??] CHEISTCETTECH, Wednesday An estimate that between 240,000 and 230,000 acres had been sown in -wheat this season throughout New Zealand was advanced by Mr. W. W. Mulholland at a meeting of wheatgrowers' delegates to-day. ■ '•This is a very awkward acreaee from a marketing point of view-/' >lr. Mulholland said. He added that it would be well on in the season before it would be clear ■whether or not the crop would be in excess of requirements. This waa a halcyon state of affairs for simulators, bat it was unsatisfactory to the growers, some of whom might_ be in a nosition of having to sell their wheat tor less than it wa3 worth.
