MOTOR FALLS IN DRAIN
THREE PERSONS INJURED ACCIDENT AT WAHAROA [from OUR OWN' correspondent] HAMILTON, Monday Three persons were injured when a sedan motor-car ran off the road and fell into a deep' drain at Waharoa yesterday afternoon. The driver, Mrs. J. Keeley, of Waharoa, received a cut over one eye and a cut on her left arm, but after medical treatment she was able to proceed to her home. A severe scalp wound was received by Mrs. Keeley's five-year-old daughter, Shirley, who was admitted to a private hospital at Matamata. She is progressing favourably. Another passenger, Mr. R. Powell, of Cook Street, Hamilton East, sustained a badly-sprained wrist. A fourth occupant of the car escaped injury. The vehicle was fairly extensively damaged.
