VISIT BY TWO MINISTERS PROGRESS OF DEVELOPMENT [bt telegraph—press association] ROTOET7A, Monday The Minister of Lands, Hon. E. A. "Ransom, and the Minister of Education, Hon. 11. Masters, who visited Rotorua over the week-end, spent t\y> days at the Galatea Estate, which is being d<sveloped by the Lands Department. Interviewed to-day Mr. Ransom said he was very pleased with the progress of the development work. The stock was in excellent condition and the pastures were fully up to expectations. For the present, however, he did not propose to depart from the policy of developing the estate* by means of sharemilkers. A number were already established and the policy was proving • itself justified. ' Mr. Masters investigated the possibility of erecting a school at the settlement, where there are already about 20 children of school age. He said, that although nothing definite had been decided it was possible the Lands Department would buikl a school and his department would supply the necessary equipment and teacher.
