NORTH SHORE CLUB DIAMOND JUBILEE SEASON The past season from the social and club-racing points of view was highly successful, states the report to tie preseated at the 61st annual meeting of the North Shore Sowing Club this evening. Regret is expressed, however, that in its diamond jubilee season the club had to be content with so few iegatta and inter-club successes. Considering the severe losses sustained by transfers, which left the club's active list comprised practically of novice and .maiden oarsmen, and several changes in the personnel of the club'si executive, a good showing was made. Membership at the end of the season iras 25 active and 13 life honorary members, a decrease of eight and an increase of one respectively. Having regard T.o the circuities under which he laboured, the treasurer was to be congratulated upon the reduction of the bank overdraft from £59 13b 2d to £52 13s Id. As one of the guarantors, Mr. T. J. Duder, died, ftesh arrangements with the bank in connection with the overdraft were of necessity made. Thanks in this connection are tended to Messrs. W. F. M» Mac Lean and L. B. McCallum. Mr. Duder, shortly before hi# death, made a generous donation to the club, which enabled it to reduce the debt on the club's plant to £lO. Revenue received from the jubilee celebrations, £l6 4s 6d, by resolution of the committee. has been placed to the credit of a special boat fund, and the hope is expressed that the fund will accumulate sufficienlly to enable some plant to bo purchased to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the club's foundation. Much interest was aroused by old members in all parts of the country and abroad at the decision to celebrate tho diamond jubilee of the club's foundation. The initial portion of the celebrations, which took the form of a reunion and at homo, wa« attended by over 200 former members, and friends and representatives of kindred clubs.
