WRESTLING CONTEST
WALKER DEFEATS DETTON [BT. TELEGRAPH PRF.SS ASSOCIATION"] WELLINGTON. Monday Hurled through the ropes early in the fifth round, Dean Detton (America) could not regain the ring within the specified time, and George Walker was awarded the verdict in a wrestling contest at the Wellington Town* Hall to-night. Up to then both men had secured a fall, Walker taking the first with a (lump in the third round, and Detton equalising in the fourth, after a series of short-arm scissors.
