ISSUE OF NEW MONEY ABOUT 134,000,000 DOLLARS (Received October 7, G. 35 p m.) WASHINGTON, Oct. 6 The Treasury stated that in the two months since t.be Silver Purchase Act became law abotit 134,000,000 dollars of new money has been put into circulation. About 80,000,000 dollars in silver certificates, backed by newly-ac-quired metal, has been issued. The remainder represents Federal reserve notes apparent.lv issued to meet currency needs stimulated by an increase in retail trade.
