RADIO INTERFERENCE
NEW ADVISORY COMMITTEE PAYMENT OF MEMBERS Details concerning the constitution of the advisory committee set up under the radio interference regulations are contained in the latest issue of the Gazette. The committee, which is to comprise an officer of the Post and Telegraph Department, as permanent; chairman, an officer of the Public Works Department, nominated by the Minister of Public Works, a representative of the New Zealand Broadcasting Board and a representative of the electrical supply authorities and tramways concerns, has power to deal with applications for exemptions from the regulations, referred to it by the Po:?t----master-General. The payment; for members of the co :n----mittee, except those who are members of the public service, is set down at £1 14s a day for every day occupied on committee business or for every meeting. Members' travelling allowances are fixed at £1 2s 6d a day, in addition to "all locomotion expenses, including deck cabins on steamers and sleeping berths on railway trains."
