FIGURE FOR SEPTEMBER DECREASE FOR NINE MONTHS The decrease in the numbers of bankruptcies filed in Auckland earlier thin year was again apparent in September. There were only five bankruptcies for the month, bringing the total for the first nine months of the year to 35, compared with 53 for the corresponding* period Inst year, 86 in 1932, 96 in 1931, and 99 in 1930. The figure for September is also the lowest for that month in the last five years.
