POWER BOARD DANCE

SOCIAL CLUB'S FUNCTION A very successful and well-attended dance was held by the social club of the Waitemata Power Board in the parish hall at Takapuna on Saturday evening. The object of the function was to obtain funds for a tennis court which is being made at the back of Lake Pupuke. An exhibition of tap dancing was given during the evening by Major A. Wilkie. The ladies' committee comprised:—Mrs. B. Rae. who wore a frock of black panne velvet; Mrs. G. Edmonds, black lace and tulle; and Mrs. A. Harper, apricot georgette. Among those present were:—Mrs. Follas, who wore a frock of black lace; Mrs. J. C. Rae, figured georgette; Mrs. Roycroft, apricot satin beaute; Mrs. H. Evan, flowered ninon; Mrs. Quedley, nut brown marocain; Mrs. A. Mosen, angel-skin lace frock; Mrs. T. Anderson, Burgundy crepe suede; Mrs. R. Clark, almond green georgette; Mrs. A. Rambaud, old rose georgette; Mrs. I. Smith, briar rose marocain; Mrs. J. Maire, black souple satin; Mrs. A. Moller, coral pink organdie; Mrs. J. R. Readdy, Venetian blue cire lace; Mrs. Bermington, black lace and silver relief; Mrs. Laurence, flame satin and lace; Mrs. Cooper, floral ninon; Mrs. Drought, primrose crepe; Mrs. A. Jensen, cameo pink georgette; Miss E. Mills, black and white crepe suede; Miss L. Mills, Chinese red satin; Miss R. Whitton, floral satin beaute; Miss J. Wallace, black "wind-swept velvet; Miss I. Hill, pink crepe suede; Miss Collins, black lace; Miss I. Hamilton, geranium red crepe; Miss J. Ormiston, powder pink taffeta; Miss Evans, floral georgette; Miss Faulbaum, amber shaded satin; Miss R.
