CROCHETED IN COLOURS
Materials required: two skeins of thick, soft cotton in jade one skein yellow, steel crochet hook No. 1. Begin with green, make 16 chain, and work 1 d.c. into 2nd ch from hook. Continue working along row, working into back-half of stitch throughout work, 1 ch, turn. 2nd Row.—"'Work 1 d.c. on top of each d.c. previous row (15 d.c. in all), h ch. turn.
3rd Row.—lnto 2nd ch from hook work 1 d.c., continue along row (15 d.c. in all), 1 ch, turn. 4th Row. —1 d.c. Oil top of each d.c. of previous row, 1 ch, turn, oth Row. —Same as 4th row.* Repeat from * to * six times in all. Join ends together. Edging.—Work 7 d.c. into each point on edges of ring, using the yellow thread, that is, 3 down each side, and one at each angle, and 2 at extreme point. Fasten off.
