WAIHI GOLDMINING USUAL INTERIM DIVIDEND The directors of the Waihi Gold Mining Company, Limited, have declared an interim dividend at the usual rate pf 1b a share. It is payable on November 1. WOOLWORTHS (SYDNEY), LTD. QUARTERLY DIVIDEND DECLARED The directors of Woolworths (Sydney),, Limited, have declared the first 1 quarterly dividend since the distribution of the bonuj' issue of shares made in July. It is 2 per cent, which is at the rate of 8 per cent per annum. Payment will be made early in October. In the previous year three quarterly dividends of 3J per cent were paid, with a final distribution of 13J per cent (including 5 per cent bonus), making 25 per cept for the year. TIMARU BREWERY DIVIDEND OF 2* PER CENT A Christchurch report states the directors of the Timaru Brewery Company, Limited, have declared a dividend of 2} per cent. The company has not niade a distribution since 1932, when 7\ per cent was paid for the year. The accounts aro made up to February 28 and normally an interim dividend is paid in October. TOOHEY'S HIGHER PROFIT INCREASE IN DIVIDEND The accounts of Tooheys, Limited, brewers, Sydney, show a profit of £84,426, compared with £72,660. The increase is due to additional earnings and a decreased expenditure. The dividend for the year is 6i per cent (3 interim and 3* final), as against 6 per cenft for the previous 12 months,'and requires £78,000. The balance of £6426, added to £43,755, 'brought forward, gives £60,181 to be carried forward.
